The Moreno Glyphs

Transmissions from Jacob

I first met Ed Schrieber at the reception of the art exhibit of my work at the RLC in Holyoke, Mass. He had received a flyer with a sample of my work from the show called the Transmission Series. My work had taken an extreme departure from the style I worked with for years which was of a figurative style depicting scenes of a political, religious and humorous nature. The new work is abstract with a foundation in archaic/futuristic symbols. This is not a form of writing, per say. They are ideograms or pictographs with a musical and mathematical foundation. They cannot be understood with the human mind but speak directly to the consciousness of the viewer. They have a different message for each viewer for each viewer comes to them with a distinctly different state of being. They are interactive.

Ed saw something in the pieces, the possibility of a relationship between my glyphs and the work of Jacob Moreno. He asked me if I’d consider translating Jacob’s concepts into paintings not knowing that I had been a psychic reader for over thirty years. I agreed to contemplate on it.

Within a week I had several dreams and what felt like a four hour out of body experience with Jacob, who I had never known of him or his work. He was rather a boney individual with a calm sharp focus in his eyes. We talked while he showed me simple diagrams and explain their meanings. I then began to make suggestions on how these principles might be embedded into the images as final paintings. These were to become teaching tools to bypass the mind and enter the consciousness directly. For the most part he was happy with what came through but let there be no doubt if I strayed for purposes of esthetics he would become stern and sharply vocal. I soon realized that this was Jacob’s project and I was merely the channel for its entry to this world. He held the command. It was very clear to me that it was an all or nothing affair. I thanked him and said yes as long as he would stay present with me to their completion. He agreed and I was off, first to talk to Ed and if he agreed to the conditions I would commit to the work.

Ed and I agreed that a preliminary set of five drawings should be made and if he liked them I could begin building the panels. I had not told him at that point of my relationship with Jacob and that he in fact was running the show. I only informed Ed that I had several long deep experiences with Jacob and that he would be giving me the download directly.

I created sacred space with intent for Jacob to guide me while I drew in trance. The first four arrive automatically but the fifth panel was to hold all the information of the previous four. This was a memorable experience. The trance was deep and the energy high. When I arrived back in my body I was astounded with disbelief of what I saw. It was all there. I felt a bit disoriented and perhaps even queasy. For days I couldn’t look at the drawing for more than a few minutes without feeling unstable. Ed came to visit and viewed the preliminary drawings. He approved!

The panels were built and prepared to take paint and four weeks of work ensued, Jacob by my side every moment. At times he made changes from the preliminary drawing. I did as he said.

At one point in one of our many dialogues as I worked I asked: “What if Ed doesn’t like the changes and had complaints?” Jacob’s usual steady confident speech changed to a curt bellowing voice in which he said: “If Ed has even one complaint then you are to return the deposit and destroy the work.” It was the sort of booming voice and energy that leaves no doubt in your consciousness that this is the clear truth. I knew at that moment that I would do what he asked sacrificing my time to this truly amazing and awe filled experience. Fortunately, Ed did like the work, so here it is. I am filled with love and gratitude to have been blessed with this experience. Thank you Jacob!
